Heavenly Threads is dedicated to creating handmade items that are donated to those in need. We use a variety of skills such as knitting, crochet, quilting, card making, and other hand creation skills to brighten the lives of others. We currently make and donate baby hats and blankets to Parkland Hospital; Hats for Chemo Patient Kits; Sailor Hats to American Sailors onshore; Hats, Scarves, gloves, and blankets to the homeless through Make Irving Beautiful; and most importantly, Prayer Shawls blessed by our members and our pastor to bring comfort and peace to our homebound and to members in need of some support at a difficult time of crises. At Christmas, 2023, Heavenly Threads members stuffed, dressed, and donated 25 Teddy Bears to the Irving Baylor Scott White Foundation for children in the hospital at Christmas Time. We are the “hands and feet of Christ” in serving one another and our community. Level of skill or particular skill requirement is not required because we gather as loving hearts and hands. Drop in for a visit at any meeting. For more information, contact the church office or Pamela Benson by phone.
